What home water purification system suit your need?

home water purification system

It is of utmost importance for any home to have a home water purification system installed. Gone are the days when mere tap water is safe to drink. There are just too many contaminants in today’s tap water that drinking straight from the tap is a sure ticket to the hospital.

There are actually a lot of different types of home water purification systems available these days. The key here is to go with the type that offers the most benefits. Of the many types, the common ones are activated carbon filters and reverse osmosis filters. Both of these methods employ their own sets of techniques in ensuring safe drinking water for any family.

With carbon filters, water is made to pass through filtering compounds. Oftentimes, one or more of these compounds is needed. What is commonly used here is granular activated carbon or GAC. There are also times when a carbon block is used to remove organic compounds, sediments, and microorganisms. At times, a micron membrane is also used to remove silt and sand, as part of the first stages of filtration. Usually, water passes through 7 to 8 filtration levels, depending on the unit’s quality and size.

Reverse osmosis, on the other hand, has water passing through what is known as a pre-filter screen. This is for the purpose of removing larger particles and sediments. Water is then made to pass through a smaller screen. This time around, this is to remove the smaller particles, such as heavy metals, bacteria, and the like. Next, water is made to pass through a carbon filter. This is the last step for filtration. The water is then stored inside what is known as a holding tank. This tank provides the safest place for storing the filtered water until it is used for cooking or drinking. Only then would the filtered water be released.

These are types of home water purifier. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. However, most local supplier have considered everything in order to produce clean and even potable water for your home need.
